Jaiden Henry’s 7th Annual Holiday Toy Drive

We are excited to be supporting 12-year-old Jaiden Henry with his Annual Holiday Toy Drive again this year to make sure that kids in multiple hospitals, military kids and kids in need are not without a toy this holiday season.  Jaiden has brought smiles and toys to over 15,000 kids in the last 6 years and set a goal of helping 3,000 kids this holiday season.  WE WOULD LOVE YOUR HELP AND SUPPORT TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN! Jaiden started this project because 6 years ago he was fighting for his life in 3 different hospitals.  He felt what it was like to be sick and in a hospital bed during a holiday and remembers volunteers and loved ones doing kind things for him to bring him a smile, so set out on a mission to do that for others in need every year.

Ways to help:

  • Donating new unwrapped toys for kids ages newborn to age 16
  • Donating money to purchase toys needed for specific age groups (Can send money donations to PayPal.Me/KidPossible)
  • Spreading the word to get other businesses, families and schools to join in our efforts to help kids in need.

All Kids Matter Foundation and SocialWorks with Chance the Rapper

Another year supporting these, 2 amazing organizations, that are making sure we are actively doing our part to keep the homeless warm during these cold Chicago winter months.  Last year collectively we gave out over 16,000 items to the homeless during All Kids Matter’s Taste for the Homeless event.  These items included, shoes, boots, coats and jackets, blankets, gloves, scarves, hats, all types of clothing items and even tents and portable heaters.  WE ARE ALWAYS COLLECTING ITEMS TO DONATE AND APPRECIATE ANY SUPPORT.  It doesn’t take much to go through your closet or house and find items that you or family grew out of or don’t need to donate to a family in need.  “If everyone does a little, we can help a lot.” Jaiden Henry

Some Past Events

Thanksgiving Caring Patriots Veteran Food Drive

Caring Patriots NFP, helped another 1,000 veteran families with providing 2 shopping carts of food filling over 10 bags of groceries and more!  We were able to help out by reaching out to schools to create posters, write thank you letters and cards, and collecting food to donate to the food drive.  This 2-day event is one of a kind where families are given the opportunity to sort, shelf and bag over 10,000 bags of donated food in one day and on day 2 they fill the cars and trunks of 1,000 veterans in need to make sure they have an amazing meal for the Thanksgiving holiday.  Great job again this year helping us do our part for our nation’s heroes.

Veteran’s Day Speeches

Another successful year of motivating classrooms and schools of kids., teachers and staff, on the importance of learning about our nation’s heroes, our Veterans.  We went to over 60 schools and classrooms and motivated kids about why we celebrate Veterans Day, what a veteran looks like, how school relates to jobs in the military, military life, heard from other veterans about how each one of their stories is different and learned many ways how to give back and thank these heroes.  We even did physical and mental activities to get a good idea of what serving in the military is life from sacrifices to learning about our daily freedoms.  The feedback we got from all of the schools shows that we are doing it right and this education is so much needed. We teamed up with Veterans Voices again this year and helped fill some slots in some schools they needed and it was a blast!

We had free food, entertainment and a service project giving back to our nations heroes. Collecting birthday cards or letter for Heroes

We had numerous people from multiple states help us when they selected one or all of our heroes and create personalized letters to them.  They include a joke or quote, or story. they colored, painted or even cut and pasted art on the cards to be creative and they turned out amazing.

We had a few Veterans we supported below and the thank you letters we received from them show how much they loved and were surprised by our efforts to make them smile.  WE DID IT WITH YOUR HELP SO THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS!

Cards for Heroes

More incredible heroes that served our country and are turning 100 years old! We connected with multiple schools, clubs and sports teams and families to create cards to share with these amazing heroes to celebrate their special day with even more smiles. We encouraged kids to be creative. Some kids did scrap booking on the cards with layers, some wrote jokes or ask questions! They had fun!

We even reached out to others to connect with us on Facebook and had their messages included in our gift to them!

Another Amazing Veteran

World War II Army Veteran, Harold Brosowske.  His birthday was February 25th 1919, which made him 100 years young this year!  We asked schools, clubs and sports teams and families to create cards to share with this amazing hero who served with the 86th Battalion in Texas during WW2.  He has an amazing family that he is very close with and loves to spend time with.  When Kid Possible Worldwide heard and made contact with Harold’s wonderful granddaughter, Becky Yaworski about his birthday we knew we could connect others to bring even more smiles to this veteran’s special day!  He called Jaiden Henry personally to thank him for the hundreds of letters and gifts he received.  Jaiden enjoyed talking to him and it made Jaiden’s day as well.  His granddaughter Becky even shared a story of how at Harold’s birthday party he got up numerous times to go to the table and read the personal birthday message Jaiden framed for him and wrote himself.  Thank you for helping us make his 100th birthday on he will never forget!
